Why Volunteer with Pathways to Education?
Pathways to Education offers you an opportunity to make a long-lasting, positive difference in the lives of young people. As an adult interested in our youth and willing to donate consistent time and energy to support them, you are making a strong, collective statement about how much and how many people believe in the capabilities of our youth.

We provide you with training, support, community service letters and volunteer appreciation events. Volunteers are an important component of our achievements and are essential to our continued success. Last year, students reported that volunteers were an important factor in motivating them to participate in tutoring and mentoring activities.
Tutors provide academic support to Grade 9-12 students in their core high school subjects, in a one-on-one or group setting. Tutors commit 2 hours per week (Mon- Thurs between 4:30pm-5:45pm & 5:45pm -7:30pm)

All sessions will be held every week starting in September, at Unison Health and Community Services-Lawrence Heights Site
12 Flemington Road (Allen Rd. and Lawrence Ave. W.); Monday and Thursday (5:45pm-7:30pm); shifts are also available at the Neptune site located Dante Alighieri Academy (50 Playfair Ave.)

Recruitment is ongoing. Pathways to Education will continue to accept volunteer tutors throughout the 2016-2017 school year.

If interested, please email pathways.volunteer@unisonhcs.org telling us why you are are interested in tutoring, your preferred tutoring subject, and your availability
